Scrumptious Salad

As I continue my sugar overload detox, I'm looking for nutritious recipes that will be good to flush out that excess sugar, keep me fully satisfied and of course, taste delish. I absolutely love salads and what I love best about them is that you can always create your own custom recipe just by adding a few more ingredients or using a little more of this or a little less of that. I like to make a smorgasbord of sorts when it comes to salads. My favorite things to put into my healthy and hearty salads are the following: spinach, cilantro, bell peppers, eggplant, olives, mushrooms, tomatoes, cucumbers, broccoli, asparagus, crumbled feta cheese and a dash of olive oil and lemon juice. It's healthy, tasty and will keep you satisfied until it's time for that next meal. Go get that big bowl and start chopping up a delicious salad that you've customized and feel free to share your concoction with the rest of us.

  1. So hard to get back on track after the holidays and other food occasions. But once you've cleared it out of your system, everything else tastes so fresh and clean! Like a great salad!

  2. That's very true! Every time I clear my system everything tastes so great and your palate is so much more sensitive. I remember eating an avocado after a similar detox process and it tasted better than ever!
